For those of you who are not sure what Walking Football is below is a brief summary.
Starting in 2011 it is very similar to the real thing we would have played in parks (jumpers for goal posts), and as we grew up playing at the school playing fields in Winchmore Hil and then of course the home of OSFC Barnet !) It caters and designed for people from 50 to 90, and as such will have different speed levels and slight changes in rules . There are a few of us already who play some form of competitive walking football but it is mainly purely for the joy of playing a form of the game.
The main rules are , no running, and no physical contact, and no over head height most games are played on small 5 to 7 a side all weather pitches. To enable and aid the non contact part of the rules most clubs play a 3 or 4 touch per player from control to passing and the session games are aided by having a referee who is familiar with the laws of the game (there will be someone there who is at the session).
